There have been many theories about what happened to the doomed flight. One of the first theories was that MH370 was shot down. Once debris was found, that was ruled out, as there were no traces of shrapnel on the debris. Malaysia’s government has said someone intentionally severed communications with the ground and diverted the plane. Theories about what happened on board range from hijacking to losing oxygen in the cabin to power failure. However, these are highly unlikely because there was no distress nor ransom call. Some experts believe the incident was likely deliberate since the weather was clear at 80 degrees.
